DAVID GERSTEL PT, MPT

Owner

David graduated from Shenandoah University with a masters in physical therapy and has been practicing orthopedic and sports medicine since 1994. David was also the chief instructor for for injury prevention and instruction of back programs and ergonomic assessments for all departments of Penrose Community Hospital from 1999-2002.David was a physical therapist for the United States Power lifting & Weightlifting Federations. He was lead PT for the 1997 National Junior Weight Lifting Championships at NAU Flagstaff, AZ.

 

David also founded The Gerstel Cancer Foundation in 2002, a 501 (3) (c) non-profit. Current plans are to raise money for cancer rehab, cancer rehab research, and cancer research.

 

Areas of clinical interest include the shoulder and knee, as well injury prevention training.  As the owner of Spectrum Rehabilitation, David is committed to providing the community with the highest level of rehabilitative care with an emphasis on wellness.  In addition, David has served as a volunteer to many organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Down Syndrome Association

AMANDA DOUGHTY PT, CMT

Amanda graduated in 1989 from Northern Arizona University's Physical Therapy program.  She worked in Boston for 3 years(acute rehab, spinal cord unit and out-pt rehab) while she became an avid jogger and successfully finished the Boston Marathon twice.  She worked at Sport and Spine center for 14 years in outpatient rehab and has now been with Spectrum Rehab since 2005. She has been certified through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy as a certified manual therapist and enjoys treating orthopaedic patients and high functioning neurologic clients.  She enjoys river rafting and river canoeing, jogging, hiking, biking and raising her 2 children all with her husband (and beacon of light) of 16 years.

 

 

GREG WILHELMS PT

Greg received his physical therapy degree from the University of Iowa as well as bachelors in education from the University of Nebraska. With 31 years of experience, 25 years have been in the area of outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine.  Greg has worked with numerous high school, collegiate and professional level athletes and continues to remain active in the sports community.  

 

 

BRIANN RAMIREZ PT, DPT

Briann graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2005 from the University of Colorado.   Briann is bilingual in Spanish, receiving a Bachelors degree from the University of Colorado Denver in 2003. 

 

Briann has experience in general out patient orthopedics and neurological rehab.  However, her greatest interest lies in sports injury prevention and rehab.  Briann is also certified with Sole Supports for custom foot orthotics. 

 

 

C. NEE-SHAMO ABBEY PT, DPT

Nee graduated from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in December 2007 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  He is  currently working between two of Spectrum’s locations: the Widefield clinic located on 115 Fontaine Blvd and the 8th street clinic and wellness center located on 810 Arcturus Drive. 

 

Nee is a general orthopedic physical therapist in the process of receiving his manual therapy certification.

 

 

KRISTIN ANDERSON PT, DPT

Kristin received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2008 and received her B.S. from The University of Michigan in 2005.  She is currently working towards earning her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine.  Kristin enjoys working with kids and athletes of all ages and skill levels.  She recently moved to this area from Florida and enjoys hiking, running, skiing and playing soccer.
