Physical Therapy
Spectrum Rehabilitation’s physical therapy program incorporates a
multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation focusing on, but not
limited to; manual therapy (incorporating soft tissue techniques and
joint manual therapy techniques), proper exercise progression,
supervised reconditioning and therapeutic exercise, an extensive aquatic
therapy program (including WATSU techniques), electrotherapy modalities,
Traction (manually or mechanically), Biofeedback techniques, work
conditioning. All physical therapists on staff
are licensed, many with multiple certifications and specialties
such as doctorates and certified manual therapist
certifications , licensed PTA’s and rehab technicians round out our highly
trained rehab team. Our therapeutic interventions emphasize patient
responsibility, such as therapeutic exercise and/or functional treatment, are
generally emphasized over passive modalities, especially as treatment progresses
towards attainment of objective functional gains. Therapy
goals incorporate restoring maximum range of motion, patient strength,
endurance, flexibility, coordination and education towards vocational and
functional application s, and returning to previous level of function or better.
