Physical Therapists David Gerstel PT, MPT, CKTP (email) David graduated from Shenandoah University with a masters in physical therapy and has been practicing orthopedic and sports medicine since 1994. David was also the chief instructor for for injury prevention and instruction of back programs and ergonomic assessments for all departments of Penrose Community Hospital from 1999-2002.David was a physical therapist for the United States Power lifting & Weightlifting Federations. He was lead PT for the 1997 National Junior Weight Lifting Championships at NAU Flagstaff, AZ. David also has 20 years of Martial Art’s experience as a student, competitor, and instructor. As an instructor, David sent over 50 student’s to National championships where many placed and won in their divisions. David has studied many forms of martial arts and received his 2nd degree black belt in Seishin Kai / Shito Ryu / Go-Shindo (Aki-juijitsu). David also competed in the South Carolina State Palmetto Games winning Gold in Kumite (fighting) & the Georgia Tour of Champions sweeping Gold in Kumite and Kata (forms). Specialties: Knees, Shoulders, Necks, and Sports Medicine Lauren Lehman PT, DPT Lauren received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2011. She is currently working towards her Manual Therapy Certification through the Univ. of St. Augustine. Lauren was born and raised in Gainesville, FL where she attended the University of Florida. No matter how far from Florida she is she will always be a gator! Lauren loves working with all age groups and different diagnoses from orthopedics to neurological conditions. When she is not in the clinic, Lauren loves to go hiking, biking, and hopes to attempt skiing/snowboarding in the winter. Physical Therapy Assistant Kelli Warren PTA, CKTP (email) Kelli graduated from Pima Medical Institute in February of 2009 with Associates in Occupational Studies and received a Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Prior to being a PTA, Kelli graduated with a Associates of Arts with an emphasis in Biology from Arizona Western College and has worked many years in the medical field as a Dialysis Technician and being a National Certified EMT-B. She had the great pleasure of volunteering at one of the top neuro-rehabilitation centers in the country, Craig Hospital, for several months. More on a personal note, Kelli is a very competitive athlete that has been involved in all levels of competition throughout her life. For 12 years she played competitive soccer and in addition played competitive softball for 9 years and 2 years at college level. She conducted the strengthening and conditioning clinic for her college softball team and pitched for the men baseball team’s batting practice. Kelli and her spouse are currently training their two personal canines to pass the Canine Good Citizen and the Therapy Dog International test in order to register them as therapy dogs and begin working with patients in an inpatient and possible outpatient rehab settings. Through her involvement in sports and now becoming a PTA, Kelli knows what it is like to be on both sides of the therapy table, and knows what it takes to return to your full potential. Shirley Truitt PTA Shirley Truitt was born and raised in the armed forces. Watching her father work in the health care field has always been an inspiration and passion of hers. She graduated from Pueblo Community College with an associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Shirley enjoys traveling and scary movies. Front Office Angela Boyce Angela has been a Director of First Impressions at Spectrum Rehabilitation for two years. She is a recent college graduate with an Associates Degree in Business Management. She will receive a degree in Accounting in April 2011 and is also working on a B.A. in Business and Marketing. Angela is also a part-time dance teacher at Pikes Peak Community College. To add to her list of stuff she should have done earlier in life, she has 6 children, 2 dogs, a loving fiancé, and her mother at home with her. In her spare time (laugh if you must), she loves to cook, watch movies, and eat. Angela's favorite color is strawberry. |
